Satu Hari di Hari Raya
|
|
Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri kepada semua di mana jua anda berada.
Tahun ini seperti biasa kami beraya di Oita. Yg specialnye tahun ni kami dpt semayang raya di masjid baru Beppu. Alhamdulillah, ramai jugak yg dtg walaupun di hari bekerja. Makanan pun byk dan sedap2 belaka. Tahun ni tak bawak apa2 walaupun rumah dekat je ngan masjid sbb sembayang raya sgt awal, pukul 7 sudah takbir. Next time insyallah.
Kami dan warga Oita di Tanoura beach
Tiap2 tahun mesti pergi sembayang raya baru la ada feeling sket. Kalau tak it will just be another makan2 celebration. Lepas alas perut di pagi raya, org Oita ajak pegi berfoto di Tanoura beach. Cuaca tahun ni sgt bagus sbb taufan tak jadik datang Oita hehehe Seronok sgt berfoto sampai tak ingat tgk jam. Tup tap dah nak dekat kol 11. Kena pulang ke Beppu blk utk ziarah raya plak.
Happy happy di pagi raya
Mase ni Harris agak moody sbb mengantuk so sume pic dia masam memanjang.
Makan tengahari di rumah teman bersama warga Beppu. Makanan sungguh enak sekali sampai lupa nak amik gambar hehehe 
Di belah petang kami bergerak ke Oita utk beraya dr rumah ke rumah. Tak sempat beraya di Kisyukusya, kami join beraya dr rumah Koei dan makan roti canai bersama kari mamaknye. Serious rase mcm mkn kat kedai mamak di Malaysia!
Kemudian kami ke rumah Doub mkn biskut raya 15 balang. Sepanjang 14 thn beraya kat Jepun, ni baru 1st time tgk dan mkn kueh raya sebanyak ni. Terima kasih tuan rumah, biskut sume sgt best!! Nnt jgn lupe bawak jamuan raya sabtu ni.
Nampak tak biskut raya yg penuh atas meja tuh.
Lepas tu kami beramai2 ke rumah Berd + Dumex + Aru. Di sana kami di jamu Soto dan sambal kicap Jawa yg saaaaangat sedap dan pedas. Tp, tuan rumah tersilap hidang daun kuchai yg sepatutnye daun bawang. Hehehe takpe boleh belajar dr kesilapan.

Last skali, kami ke rumah Pekan n K. Lina. Di sana kami dijamu mertabak, nasi kunyit, rendang ayam, masak lodeh dan kuah kacang. Gambar tak sempat nak ambik sbb sibuk mkn 
Satu hari di hari raya, kami mkn tak berhenti-henti dr pagi sampai mlm. At the end of the day, perut kami buncit dgn mknan yg sedap2 hehehehe  Sambutan raya tahun ni merupakan sambutan raya yg paling happening sepanjang kami di Jepun. Terima kasih daun keladi kepada semua tuan rumah. Tahun depan bleh buat lagi

Hari Raya
Tup tap dah tinggal 5 hari je utk berpuasa dan lepas tu Raya. Tp kan I still dont have that mood Raya lagi la. Tahun ni dah masuk 14 tahun aku beraya di Jepun. Raya tahun ni I still dont have any idea yet on what to do. I will make open house on the 2nd week of Shawal. So sesape nak dtg di jemput hadir. (Ticket sendiri bayar hehehehe) Particularly, on 1 Shawal I still have no plan yet after sembahyang Raya. Thinking n thinking n hopefully I wont have anything urgent on that day. Anything can happen on a weekdays. 
Satu hari bershoting di APU (uni papa n mama) bersama papa. Mama bz tulis paper.
Harris di bulan Ramadhan
Harris tak pose hehehe Even mase mama n papa bersahur pun dia tak terjaga. Hari2 tido kol 8 pm sampai 7 am. Kekadang tu terjaga gak mlm tp bile peluk2 dokong2 Harris tido blk. Tgn mama plak sgt gatal utk buat susu dlm botol hehehe so far masih berjaya utk tidak bagi botol susu di waktu mlm. Aritu papa dah kena sound sbb bg susu botol kat Harris. Papa u must be strong kay. All of this if for our family good

Harris ni anak Papa. Kalau mama pegi dapur takpe. Tp kalau papa dia gi dapur mesti mengekor mcm anak ayam. Maybe mase kecik2 dulu slalu kena tinggal ngan papa kot. Mase nak tido, papa xbleh berada dekat2 sbb Harris confirm xleh tido sbb nak main ngan papa. For Harris, PAPA = MAIN. So bile Harris nak tido papa kena pegi bilik lain.
Tgk tu papa tgh mkn pun kena dok kat celah kangkang hehehe
Harris skrg dah pandai ludah mase berus gigi. Actually, byk ludah dr gosok gigi. Skit2 ptuih hehe kelakar sgt bile tgk. Mulut Harris pun dah agak ringan skrg tp most of the time mama tak paham ape yg Harris ckp. Kesian Harris sometimes nampak dia frust sbb mama n papa tak paham apa dia nak.

Botol Susu

Nak citer camne Harris bleh stop minum susu dr botol susu.
1st of all, I've been reading yg botol susu ni tak elok minum lama2.
Nnt gigi cepat rosak.
Even kat nursery, budak baya Harris pun dah tak minum susu guna botol susu.
Skrg Harris minum susu guna cawan atau guna straw utk minum dlm cawan.
Kat Mesia, sampai dah nak masuk sekolah minum susu lagi. Malu jugak ye dak?
Rasenye aku pun minum susu dlm botol sampai dah besar gak hehehe

No offense to all mommies out there. What I am going to say here might menyentuh perasaan anda semua. I admit bagi botol susu mmg senang dan baby pun akan stop menangis. Kekadang dlm mase nak stop botol susu Harris, gatal gak tangan nak suap botol susu, especially his Papa, kesian sungguh kt Harris bila merengek nak susu. Bile citer kat Japanese mommies here that baby kat Mesia isap susu sampai besor. Derang mcm terkejut giler. Aku plak tak reti nak explain why this often happen.
I do understand for some mommies, kat office dah stress tak kan kat rumah pun nak stress lg bile baby merengek mintak botol, btul tak? But think this way, it is the best for our baby. Nnt sakit gigi pun kita jugak yang susah. Lagi2 gigi yg naik dr gigi yg rosak sure tak lawa gigi tu nnt. Better now than later.
Some mommies even say that, "Nnt takut baby tak cukup vitamin". Tp for me, since baby dah start mkn solid food mcm adult, mesti baby pun dpt vitamin mcm org dewasa gak la kan?As long makan healthy food lah. Lagi pun xpakai botol susu tak semestinye tak minum susu. Harris still minum susu for breakfast, mkn ptg and sebelum tido. Even my mom n my nenek said it is a bit too early for Harris. Diorang kesian nnt Harris lapar n dahaga xcukup makan, padahal Harris ni makan nasi bertambah, sayur pun siap ratah lagi. Org tuakan nak wat camne hehehe..
We are strong Japan supporters. Go Samurai Blue!!!
The Proses, Harris Way
1st of all, make sure mama n papa xbz dlm masa 2 minggu. For example, xde paper kena hantar, no outstation etc. Sebab proses ni a bit tough jugak sbb baby akan banyak merengek.
2ndly, parent kene kuatkan semangat dan jgn give up sbb baby bile dah nangis ni kesian pun ada, tension pun ada.
3rdly, make sure your baby can drink from a cup or able to use a straw. Sbb bile dah takde botol u need to have a substitute kan?
4thly, kene cair kan bancuhan susu. Let say kena taruk 2 spoon utk 100ml, try buat 1 spoon utk 100ml. Tp bile minum dlm cawan ikut sukatan biasa. This way baby akan tau yg dlm cawan tu lg shedap hehehe
5thly, try make your baby forget that he wants a bottle like play with him, give him biscuit or give him a stray to sip. Harris slalu lupe kalu wat camtu.
Do this for the whole 2 weeks insyallah slowly baby akan kurang minum dlm botol susu. Btw, Harris took another 1 month to stop his bottle in the daytime and now slowly reducing his milk consumption at night.

Salam Ramadhan.
It has been one week of Ramadhan. I lost about 2 kg already n I am hoping I wont get rebound during Shawal. Katiana sensei pls come back to Beppu as soon as u can, your student is in need of belly exercise!!! Ape la mengarut plak hehehe
Harris trying to put anything n everything into his mouth.
This year Ramadhan, is the first time for me to eat from one tray aka dulang. Ni pun sbb ikut org Paki, Bangla style mkn dlm tray. Huhuhu sungguh menarik dan tak mau mkn camtu dah. About the food n drinks mase iftar beramai2 tu, hmm xyah citer la lagi xsyok. I want to express more about this iftar but xpela nnt takut org tersinggung plak. For the time being, I shall keep it to myself

Harris Development
Harris is now 14 months and 4 weeks old. For the time being, as I told b4 he is weaning from a bottle. How I do u it, I shall write on my next entry.
Harris can:
1) do cheeky face whenever he sees a camera.
2) say densha, meaning train. Didnt expect his first word going to be in Japanese.
3) say mama n papa but still confuse which one is which, especially when he is the one talking.
4) understand simple greeting like ohayo gozaimasu, arigatou and he can bow too. Soo Japanese like 
5) understand sit down and kiss.
6) luv to explore the kitchen cabinets. We put locks put but he was fast enough to break it.
7) say NAK when he wants something but actually it sounds more like TAK.
8 ) like to go round and round until pening kepala n he jumps too.
9) spit after brushing his teeth.
Harris favorite foods are:
1) Japanese rice with nori (seaweed), kekadang kutip nori je pun ada.
2) Cheese Kamaboko (fish sausage with cheese)
3) Watermelon
4) Onigiri (nasi kepal Jepun)
5) Yogurt
6) Cucumber
7) All sorts of bread
8 ) All kind of mee
So far these are Harris development.
Mama: Harris nak yg mana satu? Oren ke?

Welcoming bapak and anak captain for the New Camellia Ferry to Busan Korea.
Intro
We are back from Busan. Well, that was 10 days ago. After the holiday, mama was bz with the conference paper. Nak blk Mesia free punya pasal kenalah buat paper betul2
After the submission last Sunday, I realized that my house is like tongkang pecah and my clean laundry is as high as Mount Fuji. Hubby is such a darling helping me with the housework n with my high tune voice during my stress time.Time2 camni la I feel like having a maid at home so that she can take some of the burden off me and hubby. Ada tak part time maid yg bleh kerja time aku nak dia keje je?
Captain kenit
Busan, Korea
Our Busan trip was great. We had lots of shopping2 benda mengarut. T-shirts la accessories la color contact lenses la mcm2 la. Lots of imitation, u name it LV, Gucci, Coach, BV sume ada. Gred S (S stand for super. Gred A xmain dah kat sana) dia serious like an original. Too bad we are not into imitation. Authentic goods only. What we really enjoy the most is the seafood. Nyum2 sgt sedap, fresh dan pedas Even Harris luvs the foods there. Rase chijimi makcik kat gerai tu sampai skrg aku ingat lg. Busan wait for our next trip hehehe

Travelling with a baby
Harris has been traveling oversea ever since 3 months old. The first trip was to Seoul for my friend's wedding. At 3 months he was really easy to handle.
Harris 3months old on his 1st trip outside Japan. It was Seoul.
Traveling with Harris this time was great too. He is such a Happy Traveler. He really like new places and keep on exploring his surrounding. Mama n Papa je yg tak larat nak mengejar hehehe
Every since Harris stop drinking milk using a bottle, traveling has been very easy. No more heavy bag with his milk powder, flask and bottle. We just substitute his milk powder with fresh milk that can be easily get at the convenience store. During day time he drinks mugicha (barley tea w/o sugar). When he feels like sleeping when he just cant take it anymore, he will sleeps in his stroller. We hope he will be a happy traveler during our trip to visit Auntie Cam next year in Istanbul.
Taking a bath in a sink early in the morning coz the bathroom cannot be use anymore.
Ramadhan
Today is the 2nd day of Ramadhan and also my 13th times fasting in Japan (hubby 7th times). No more sedih2 drama sandiwara berpuasa di perantauan. Mase sahur dah tak bleh mkn benda heavy such as nasi. We can only eat bread in the morning. Maybe sbb dah biasa kot. Xde la rase over lapar sbb tak mkn nasi. Berbuka pun mkn cam biasa gak. Tapi kan kenapa ek berat still sama je? Takut nye coming raya ni mesti weight rebound

Dulu, Skrg dan Mulut Muncungnye

Dulu kalu tgk fp org yg asyik tepek muke anak je siap perli dan ckp mcm xde benda lain ke nak taruk fp.
Now, I am eating my own word hehehe
NAH, ambik ko! Perli fp org sgt hehehehe Baru la paham perasaan "Lantak aku lah, anak aku!" hehehe
Tu intro je, actually nak citer pasal Harris yg baru baik dr sakit. Semenjak gi nursery ni asyik slalu sakit je dpt jangkitan dr budak lain. Sabo je la. Tak anto pun susah dah antar pun susah gak.
5 hari lepas, mase pick up Harris kat nursery, sensei dia ckp "Badan Harris panas skit la. Ptg td saya check 37.5 C". (Kat nursery ni mmg dia check temp sume budak 2 - 3 kali sehari. Cara derang monitor kot). Aku pun mcm biasa ok je la sbb tak sampai 38C lg.
Esok hari nye cuti Obon (Festival of the Dead), ingatkan nak pegi la jejalan tgk binatang kat Ganji Farm. Tgk2 Harris ada temperature tp tak la tinggi mana 37.7 C camtu je. Kami tak bawak gi clinic mase tu sbb tak panas mana. Just bubuh plaster sejuk kat dahi tu dan temp Harris pun turun sket.
The next day, tgk air liur dia asyik meleleh je sampai basah baju. Bib dia pun kena byk kali tukar sbb basah lencun. So mama pun call City Hall tanye clinic mana yg on call time cuti ni. Kat Jepun susah sket nak jumpe clinic bukak time cuti bukan cam kat Mesia. So we went to one yg dekat gak la dgn rumah. Temp mase tu 37.8 C n doc pun ckp "xpanas mana ni". Dapat ubat pun cume ubat demam kalu temp lebih 38.5C je. Antibiotic etc tak dpt pun sbb doc ckp xde la teruk mana. Sabo je la, kalu kat Mesia mau nye dia bg skala mcm ubat.
From that day, bermula la penyiksaan utk Harris sbb dlm mulut dia penuh ulser sbb kurang minum dan mkn makanan berkhasiat. Kesian sgt sume benda xleh mkn kecuali yogurt. Tiap kali telan menangis. Sedih mama menengoknye. Tido pun xlena sbb lapar. Bleh dikatakan sume benda tak kena la. Harris mcm tu dekat 3 hari jugak la. Nasib baik mama n papa cuti walaupun ada submission conference paper 30hb ni.
Semlm Harris dah ok sket. Tgk dlm mulut ada lg ulser dia tp dah buleh mkn dan dia mkn byk sgt mcm org kebulur je. Bawak gi main kat Youme town utk release tension dok kat rumah lama sgt. Nak main kat luar hujan la plak sepanjang cuti ni.
Hari ni Harris dah fully recover. Bgn pagi xnangis siap main lubang idong papa lg. Mkn minum pun dah ok. Alhamdulliah sgt dah baik sbb in 3 days we are going to Busan, Korea.

Satu Hari di Nursery
|
|
Arini Harris nye Nursery Open Day utk mak bapak je. Hari ni utk parent tgk sendiri camne anak2 derang kat nursey tetiap hari. Sbb slalu nye parent hantar je awal pagi then tak tau anak wat pe kat nursery so nursery Harris buat open day utk mak bapak tgk dan experience sendiri. Menarik jugak session camni sbb kite leh tgk sendiri ape anak kite buat kat nursery tiap ari.
8:30 am
Camni la kami tiap2 hari ke nursery Harris. Harris dah suke sgt gi nursery dan tak nangis dah bile kena tinggal.
8:40 am
Sampai2 je. Terus start baca buku. Harris la baby yg paling kusyuk dengar citer sensei.
Harris mmg dr kecik suke buku. Agaknye sbb mase ngandungkan dia dulu, mama dia tgh siapkan Master thesis dan PhD proposal kot hehehehe
9:00 am
Snack time!! Arini favorite Harris. Buah tembikai. Mula2 dia nangis mase nak letak dlm kusi dia ni. Tp lepas nampak je buah kesukaan dia tu terus diam dan mkn non-stop. Harris la yg cepat skali habis mkn. Mana tak nye tangan kanan pegang sudu nak suap sendiri la konon. Tangan kiri suap buah 
9:30 am
Singing time. Time fav Harris sbb dia la org yg 1st skali tunggu sensei. Tak sabo2 nak nyanyi.
Ni sensei Harris yg full dgn high equipment hehehe
Kawan kawan Harris dan mama mama mereka.
10:00 am
Sblum jln kat luar sume kena minum air dulu. Air mugi-cha (barley tea) no such thing as juice or air sirap.
Sessi berjalan2 dan menari2 di luar. Biasa la bile musim panas ni mmg Jepun suke berjemur kat luar. Tu yg hangit muke tu. Kalu hari yg panas giler, time blk tu mmg berkilat2 muke. Berlengas pun ada.
10:20 am
Onsen (hot spring) pool time. Lepas berpeluh tak hingat. Ramai2 masuk onsen pool. Mama pun nak mandi gak. Berlengas ooo
11:00 am
Lunch time. Favorite time utk sume baby. Walaupun kat rumah tak nak dok diam mase makan, kat nursery sume bleh dok diam2 atas kusi masing2 dan makan. 2 org sensei kat atas yg pakai topi putih tu Dietitian. Makanan kat nursery mmg berkhasiat.
11:10 am
Time sume org makan Harris dah tak tahan mata keletihan. Tertido. Bagi tido about 15 minutes, mama kejut utk mkn.
Ni makanan Harris utk arini. Lauk hijiki (kind of seaweed) + fish mince yg nampak mcm telur + sesame bread (not in pic). Sume ni specially made for Harris sbb budak lain ada bacon dlm lauk.
AAAAuuuuMMMM. Sedap ooo makanan Harris. Patut la suke sgt mknan Jepun.
Lepas makan dan kemas2, sume blk. Arini open day setengah hari je. Selalu nye budak2 kat nursery ni akan tido dlm 2 jam ++ Pernah skali amik Harris tghari sume budak tido. Saya ulangi, SUME BUDAK TIDO XDE SORANG PUN BANGUN. Macam tak caya je derang bleh train bebudak ni tido pada waktu yg sama. Without sleeping pill ok!
Dlm kol 3 derang ada snack time lg. Lepas mkn, acara bebas. Main sampai mak bapak jemput blk.
Inilah sehari hidup Harris di nursery. Sekian.

WE ARE BLESSED

We are blessed.
Especially during the hard time, his crying time, he dont want to eat time, his undesirable behavior time etc. We are blessed bcoz Harris is still a Happy Boy.
We are blessed.
That we are in Japan and with proper guide from the professionals (paed, nurse, nursery teacher n bidan.)
We didnt follow the Malay adat resam coz I sense the contradiction.
E.g.
- Tak pakai sarung tgn n kaki. Sbb nnt gripping baby n brain lambat develop. Doc siap
buang lg sarung tgn n kaki Harris bile pegi buat check up. Same goes to barut perut baby.
- Tak pakai baju tebal2 selimut bagai. Paed said babies can resist temperature from
17C to 24C, they can actually adapt more that adults. Tu sbb baby nangis sbb rimas
kot.
- Kalu mak pakai 2 lapis sbb rase sejuk, anak kena pakai selapis sbb hard beat baby
gerak sgt cepat dan badan nye lg panas dr kite. For babies, kat sini 38C ke atas baru
considered demam.
We follow this n Harris tak pernah meragam malam tak kira musim panas atau sejuk.
We are blessed.
We are in APU (thats my uni name). Being a mom n a full time PhD student is not such an easy thing to do. It was way beyond my expectation...
Because I am in APU, I was able to bring Harris to classes and to seminars. I have very understanding professors. Kat public uni jgn harap nak buat camni.
During the early time, I didnt get the super cheap public nursery yet. It was really tough in the beginning but now everything is OK.
